Wood will be better for you in the long run, and better for resale. Perhaps consider a tile "landing" of sorts in front of the sliding door?

I don't know of any contractors in that specific area, but I am sure there is no shortage of them. I would ask my neighbors and friends for a referral. If that doesn't work, you could try the phone book. Most contractors will give you a free estimate.

You tell your agent where you want to be and they can find homes there, but you can't ask to be where Jews are or where white people live or where no Indians live. ... more

Try the Sarasota County Code Enforcement to see if there is anything they can do. Here is the web site: https://www.scgov.net/DevelopmentServices/Pages/CodeEnforcement.aspx
Phone: 941-861-5000

I am not sure if you are located in the city of Venice. They may have their own Code Enforcement Department.

Michelle ,

I am no pool builder but I have been seeing advertisements for bare bones minimum pools for @$16K. Really you are at least@ $20k-25k for decent play pool with a few bells n whistles.

Hope that helped.... let me know if you need assistance with a home search with or without pools :)
