Hi Jim,
I'm afraid that I'm not sure what this term means. If you found it on Trulia, can you point me to where that is so I can find some context and research that?
Thank you,
Emily... more
Hi Elena,
At this time you appear to be the primary contact for the two listings associated with your profile. If you have other listings on Trulia that have been claimed by other agents, please do reach out to our Customer Service team so they can correct the misinformation and help you add these listings to your Trulia profile.
You can give our team a call at 888-466-3501 Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm PST or send them an email via the link below.
Thank you,

Please contact an licensed real estate agent or licensed real estate broker to get you listing on trulia. Most Manhattan real estate professional belong to REBNY which is our local real estate board though some do belong to both REBNY and MANAR (Unfortunate name for it as it has other associations!) So most pros here are NOT REALTORS as you have to be a member of the National Association of Realtors. ( ie: MA NAR)
Some brokers and agents belong to neither and are just called agents or brokers..
(I know this is an old question but as Aileen is no longer active..)

Hi again Lyn,
David is correct that we assign a Trulia phone number to some profiles to track leads, however this is part of our Instant Leads program that is only available for Trulia Pro subscribers. Since you're not a Trulia Pro subscriber, the phone number associated with your profile should be the number you added to your profile when you created it.
Anyone interested in Instant Leads can find out more about it via the link below.

For rentals in New York City, I think you need to be very careful to avoid scams. There are two ways to do this: Work directly with the landlord, that is, go to the rental office of the building, or meet the homeowner of a two-family home inside their home: or work with a real estate agent.
Unless you are really street savvy I think it's risky to go through Craig's List or to pursue some of the suspicious listings on big websites like this one. And if it's too good to be true, of course it is.
There are rental properties available where the landlord pays the agent's fee, so you as the renter don't need to pay anything extra. You could tell the agent you will only work with these "Owner Pays" listings.
I get calls fairly often from people who are wondering about scams. Some of these crooks are pretty creative, with special phone numbers for you to call, with special codes you're supposed to give them. Sometimes an overseas operation will get a cell phone with a (212), (718) or (917) extension to make you think they are local. In one case it was a local, complete with a Brooklyn accent, but the scam (one of my sales listings being advertised as a rental, which it wasn't) was based outside the USA.
These crooks are like dandelions in the lawn, you can pull up some of them but they just keep coming back.

Many of these other sites are for consumers to view property that fall within some level of seach parameters. The listing agent has their information at the bottom of the page. You can e-mail them directly for more info or visit their brokerage site for more detail.
I do agree with Ms. Levy in working with an agent/broker. If you are "just starting" then enjoy the lovely photos and floorplans. If you are serious and prepared to move forward, call a broker. Good luck.... more
Hi Shane,
Thank you for the clarification. That box is our Quick Connect directory and it features different agents each time the page is accessed. If you close the box and click the link to 'Contact local agents' several times, you should see yourself listed. I did that and saw you listed on the third click.
Congratulations on the recent lead!

I agree there is no actual way to determine who's been running comps or "checking" the value of your home. The brokerage community run comps on a daily basis on all types of home and oftentimes it might include your home. Best of luck.

Hi Mohit,
It looks to me as though we do receive a listing data feed from citi-habitats. In order to investigate further, we need to know the complete listing address and price. Please access the link below and send that information to us so we can attempt to locate your listing in the citi-habitats feed.
Thank you,

Hi Ella,
It looks like you've already claimed your listings on Trulia. If you view them you should see your contact information listed towards the bottom of the page, and if you upload a picture to your Trulia profile, that photo will display on your listings along with your contact information.
To upload your photo, access the link below and select 'Edit profile' on the left side of the page. Next select 'Change photo' under the current place-holder image.
Please let us know if you experience any difficulties with this process or if you have any other questions.
Best Wishes,
