Where you decide to look really depends on a number of things that you will first need to determine:
To start with, what type of community do you live in now? What do you like about it, and what would you like to have different?
Will being close to a new job be a consideration? Would you want to be near the water, as we have a lot of lakes in Central Florida, or would you prefer to be closer to one of the coasts? Will you have family visiting? How much will you need to travel, and to where? Would you want to be close to (or far away from) the area attractions?
I can help you with some of the financial questions. A pre-qualification may help you decide how much house you can reasonably afford. Also, it would be a great help for your Realtor to know that you are pre-qualified when they become involved in helping you find your new home.
